2010 Vendor Spotlight: Peekaboo Collective

Boy, are we proud to say that our show (coming in just about 2 weeks!) will be the debut of Peekaboo Collective. It is the labor of love and collaboration between Nicole Lecht of Freshlyblended, Jodi Wroblewski, Shelly Kuzniarek of French Press. They offer baby clothing, letterpress stationery and more with a clean, fun design. Most importantly to them, everything is earth-friendly and sustainable. Yay!

In Nicole's words: "We take a lot of inspiration from modern design to Scandinavian folk art and most of all nature. We deeply appreciate all the qualities of the handmade process and try to create products centered around quality, affordability, and most of all sustainability. We hope that with our combined talents and efforts we can make something fun for moms and tikes alike."

Where are you ladies located?
We don't have one physical location yet but we are based in Buffalo, NY

How did Peekaboo Collective begin?

We always wanted to do a baby line but when Nicole had her baby in 2009, it's brought us the motivation and inspiration to actually do it.

What are your influences?
We are influenced by minimalistic clean design and most of all organic and healthy design practices. We really want to "get back to nature" with this project.

What is your favorite part about Peekaboo?
Our favorite part is the handmade and organic aspect of what we do. It makes us proud to know that each piece came from our own hands and was thought through from the heart. We enjoy being able to pull our thoughts together and collaborate ideas to make a really great and functional outcome.

Not going to make it to Second Storie? Or maybe you simply can't wait until then? Worry not, because you can get your Peekaboo Collective goods right now, by going to their shop.
